| I work for Asurion (formerly lock\line) as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Senior Automated Testing Engineer. I have been a developer (COBOL primarily), a network engineer, quality assurance analyst and worked in various other areas of the information technology industry. I currently have an Associates of Applied Science - Computer Science - Programming Emphasis degree and I am currently working on a Bachelor of Science - Computer Science - Software Engineering degree at University of Missouri - Kansas City. I am also a former active duty Marine (1991 - 1997). To me practicing martial arts is about making myself a better person. Martial arts exposes me to things that I feel are important to being a better person. I feel as though it will help me to develop better: 1). Commitment 2.) Determination 3). Humility 4.) Patience 5). Discipline 6.) Work Ethic 7.) Physical Stamina While the Marine Corps definitely helped improve each of these areas as well, I am a strong believer that skills and traits only stay with us through constant work and practice, so to me martial arts is the whet stone that is going to help keep my razor's edge clean and sharp. This is one of the best things I have done for myself, and I forsee this being a lifelong passion. |
